Take a full body deep dive into the world of LajaMartin style dance theater. Based on a foundation of floorwork, Impulse will flow smoothly into building strength and finding efficiency in riding momentum. Push the heights of physicality in phrase work soaring from floor to air with textures defined by musicality and rhythm. Through guided movement prompts, voice exercises, acting games and more, you will explore the ways in which you can stretch as a performer. Unlock endless possibilities of transformation.

Guy-name

Guy Nader, originally from Lebanon, is based in Barcelona, where, with Maria Campos, he found the ensemble GN|MC. Their creations have reached across Europe and beyond. As a teacher, Guy has been invited to share his knowledge on dance in professional training facilities in Rome, Brussels, Berlin, Amsterdam, Zagreb, Barcelona and many other cities.
Guy's "Falling and Rolling" workshop is based on physical and powerful floor work by which many movement patterns, involving breathing, speed and release of energy through the body are put to use. Studying the mechanics of the body you will use spirals and a strong notion of the body’s gravity center for entering and exiting the floor in endless ways, combining the different planes seamlessly.
